A former governor of cross river state, liyel imoke, has commended the Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa, saying that his type of leadership is very rare to find and his humility is equal to none.
Speaking at the inauguration of some completed roads in delta state,Imoke further stated that, the greatest decision ever taken by the national chairman of their party PDP, Uche secondus, was allowing Okowa to chair the party’s convention committee, a quality he said Gov Okowa has continued to replicate in his day to day running of delta state.

Governor Okowa used occasion to confirm that the college of medicine of university of delta Agbor, would remain at its present site at Agbor.
Governor Okowa explained that the land for the medical school had been acquired and assessed including the paper work and design.
He deplored the attitude of rumour mongering in matters of governance.
He said that the central hospital Agbor is presently being renovated to house the trauma center currently under construction.
Senator liyel imoke, was in delta state as guest of Okowa to inaugurate the reconstructed 10.2 kilometers alihame/agbor-nta/oki road and side drains in Agbor and Abavo circular road phase 11 and 111, Abavo, both in ika south council area.
Governor Okowa explained that the constructed federal road that connects Agbor, Warri to Benin expressway, will aid movement and transportation in and out of the state.
