The mother of Sam Okwaraji, late Super Eagles midfielder, Janet Okwaraji is dead.
Reports say She died at her Abakpa Nike, Enugu home in the south east at the age of 83 years.
The announcement of her death was made known on Sunday by her son, Patrick Okwaraji.
Few weeks ago, Nigeria’s Sports Minister Sunday Dare had sent his representative to donate Cash and foodstuffs as palliatives to her.
The late Janet Okwaraji later complained of neglect against her and her family by the government, of both Enugu and Imo states.

Her late son, Sam Okwaraji, a qualified lawyer had collapsed and died of congestive heart failure in the 77th minute of a World Cup qualifier against Angola at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos on 12 August, 1989 at the age of 25.
