The Wife Of Nigeria President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu Declared The 39th Africa Women’s Volleyball Club Championship open on Thursday At The Indoor Sports hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Senator Tinubu Reiterated The Need For More Women Participating In All Spheres Of Life Including, Governance, Economics And Societal Development As 16 Teams Representing Ten Africa Countries Begun Competition For Africa Top Prize In Women’s Club Volleyball Competition.

After Hours Of Delay, The Opening Ceremony Of The 39th Africa Women’s Volleyball Club Championship Begun With A Display Of The Rich And Diverse Culture Of Nigeria.

In Her Opening Remarks, Wife Of The President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu Enjoined Participants To Be Good Ambassardors Of Themselves While Also Emphasising That The Potentials Of The African Woman Is Limitless.

“Under The Renewed Hope Agenda Of President Tinubu, We Have Witnessed Unprecedented Reforms Aimed At Enhancing Women’s Participation In Governance, Economics And Societal Development.
“As You Compete In This Tournament, I Encourage You To See Yourselves As Ambassadors Of Sports, And Of The Limitless Potential That Lies Within Every African Woman.
“The Discipline, Teamwork, Leadership, And Resilience You Cultivate As Athletes Are Invaluable Life Skills That Will Serve You Well Beyond The Volleyball Court,” She Said.

The First Lady Then Encouraged Participating Teams To Compete Fairly Before Declaring The Competition Opened
“To The Winner, Recognise That Your Success Inspires Countless Young Girls Watching From The Stands And From Homes Across Africa.
“I Warmly Invite You To Explore Our Beautiful Capital City Of Abuja And Experience The Rich Cultural Heritage And Renowned Hospitality That Nigeria Has To Offer.
“At This Juncture, I Officially Declare The 2025 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship Open,” She Said.
The Event Attracted High Profile Dignitaries From The Host Team The Nigeria Customs Service, The Confederation Of Africa Volleyball, The National Sports Commission, The National Olympic Committee, As Well As The Nigeria Volleyball Federation.

In The Opening Game Nigeria Customs Defeated Mayo Kane Of Cameroon In Straight Sets, 25-18, 25-17, 25, 22.
