No fewer than ninety-five suspected criminals have been arrested in an ongoing forest operation by operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State.
The Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this at the weekend while parading 34 of the suspects arrested across the state.
Adeleye said the arrests were the result of joint operations involving all security agencies in the state, as part of the ongoing combing of forests in Akure North Local Government Area, where there have been persistent cases of kidnapping.
He expressed confidence that kidnapping incidents in the local government area would drastically reduce following the arrest of several suspected perpetrators.
The Corps Commander further revealed that 61 other suspects were apprehended within the troubled areas and are currently undergoing profiling.
