The Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps says ongoing tracking of vehicles not duly registered and glass tinted, is to prevent attempts by criminal elements and bandits to undermine the security architecture in the state.
Speaking in Akure on Thursday, the State Commander of Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye said over fifty unregistered vehicles have been impounded including those impounded for tinted glass related issues without police permit.
The Amotekun commander who described the search operation as a joint Project among the Nigeria police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, noted that the collaboration is an integral part of the enabling laws which empowers the Amotekun Corps to collaborate with other security agencies to track criminals on major roads.

He also disclosed that intelligence reports revealed that bandits and criminals were planning attack on some black spots in Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states.
The Amotekun boss advised vehicle owners to immediately register their vehicles and obtain police tinted glass permit to avoid their vehicles being impounded.
