Commander of Amotekun Corps in Ondo state, Adetunji Adeleye has debunked reports that operatives are Overwhelmed by activities of killer herders from some parts of the state.
Adeleye gave the Clarification on Monday while parading twenty-nine suspected criminals at the headquarters in Akure, the state capital.
It is the first parade of suspects by operatives of Amotekun corps in Ondo state for the year 2024.
Among the twenty-nine suspects paraded is one Simeon Matthew, who took part in a robbery incident and drug peddling four days after being released from the correctional center.
Commander of the corps, Adetunji Adeleye said others arrested include a four man robbery gang, Suspected kidnappers and violators of the Anti-Open Grazing law.
Adeleye also used the opportunity to clarify that the corps is not over-stretched by activities of herdsmen as widely reported by some news media over the weekend.
The Command assured that the suspects will soon be arraigned in court after conclusion of investigations.
