Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has directed establishment of six additional control points in forests to counter activities of criminals terrorising residents.
State Commander of regional security outfit Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye disclosed this at the state headquarters of the corps in Akure while parading nine suspects arrested for various offences.
He said the establishment of the specialised unit within the Amotekun Corps called “Amot Rangers” will rid the coastal state of criminal elements.

Adeleye said the team will operate from six newly established control points within the state’s forests which will cover areas along the borders with Edo, Kogi, Kwara, and Ekiti states.
He said the rangers will live and stay in the forests to control the activities of troublemakers in the state.
The Amotekun commander also said the decline in the number of crimes and suspects paraded over time is as a result of the 24-hour patrol by men of the Ondo State Security Network Agency.
