Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state says his administration will not play politics with the welfare and comfort of residents and people of the state.
Aiyedatiwa gave the assurance at the third batch of the disbursement of two point two billion naira arrears of gratuities owed retirees since 2015 and another one billion for completion of year 2012 gratuity to local Government pensioners .
It is the third time in 2024 that the state Government will be disbursing Gratuities to senior citizens in the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said the gesture was in continuation of his administration’s continued efforts towards promoting the welfare of senior citizens in the state.
The governor further noted that the payment of the gratuities is targetted at ameliorating the hardship faced by retirees under the present economic challenges in the country.
