In a bid to tackle insecurity in the State, Ondo State Government has reinforced the restrictions on commercial motorcyclists, warning that violators will be prosecuted.
Ondo State Corps Commander of the regional Security Network Agency code-named Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, the State Capital.

He said, in view of the incessant robbery attacks on fuel stations in the state, the Governor has reintroduced the ban on commercial motorcyclists operating beyond 7pm in the state which took effect on Monday,Adeleye said robbery attacks in the state usually occur between 7pm and 9pm.
He advised the leadership of petrol station dealers in the state to handle the issue of security seriously, saying it has become the norm for criminals to disguise as Okada riders robbing filling stations and engaging in other criminal acts. Adeleye said initially, defaulting motorcyclists were paying a N5,000 fine, but now they face prosecution in the court of law.
