Ondo NSCDC busts illegal bunkering syndicates, arrests eight suspects

The Ondo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has busted a syndicate who specializes in vandalisation of petroleum pipelines, bunkering , among other illegal activities at Olowo Community, in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Daniel Aidamenbor, speaking during the parade of the Eight suspects arrested while engaging in the illegal conduct of loading adulterated products said the corps was committed to the ongoing fight against illegal dealings in petroleum products.

Items recovered from the scene of crime according to the NSCDC, include A black Toyota Sequoia loaded with 70 kegs of 25 litres of adulterated petroleum products, six pumping machines and 1 counting machine.

The suspects will be charged to court at the end of investigations according to the spokesperson of the command.
