Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Ondo State have lamented the rising cases of defilement, rape, and other sexual-based violence despite the continuous sensitization and campaigns against such inhuman practices.
The state commandant of NSCDC, Hammed Abodunrin stated this while parading three suspected rapists at the command’s headquarters in Akure.
Abodunrin said that the suspects were arrested by the Antihuman Trafficking Ilegal Migration and Gender-Based Unit of the Command.
He said the command will not relent in reducing incidences of rape and sexual-based violence.

The NSCDC boss said most victims are lured, abducted to private apartments where suspects take turns in raping them.
The NSCDC boss said all suspects would be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
