Ondo PDP Vows Court Action against Gov.Akeredolu over continued absence from duty

Following the expiration of the 3-day Ultimatum given to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to address residents of Ondo State, The youth wing of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has vowed a court action against the Governor over his continued absence from his duty post .

Addressing Journalists at the party’s Secretariat in Akure, the youths led by Tayo Oluyi said they will not hesitate to explore other constitutional means to press home their demands.

The youth leader also disclosed that they have written to the state House of Assembly to invoke section 189(4) of the Nigerian constitution and set up a medical panel to determine whether the Governor is still medically fit to discharge the function of his office .

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is yet to officially resume at his duty post since his return from medical Vacation on September 7, 2023.
