Ondo Rainstorm: Gov Aiyedatiwa Presents Relief Materials to 340 Victims

About one hundred and twenty nine million naira worth of relief items have been donated to victims of rainstorm and fire disaster in ita-Ogbolu community by the ondo state Government.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa while presenting the relief materials to the victims, reiterated his administration’s social contract with the people , which he said is to prioritize welfare at all times.

In February 2024, Residents of Iju ita-Ogbolu, in Akure north Local Government area of ondo State were hit by rainstorm that left several property destroyed.

Over three hundred houses and other forms of shelter were also affected by the natural disaster.

Two months down the line after the downpour, relief has now come the way of the victims as the ondo state Government led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa donated relief items to those affected to cushion the impact of the disaster.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa represented by his Deputy, Olayide Adelami, directed that the materials be given to everyone affected by the disaster, regardless of their political affiliation.

Adelami urged residents of the community and the state at large to maintain healthy environment and cultivate the habit of tree planting to avert disaster.

Among the items distributed were mattresses, roofing sheets nails, and cement.
