Ondo State Govt declares 3-day mourning for late SSG Oluwatuyi

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has declared a three-day mourning period and prayers from Sunday, January 5 to Tuesday, January 7 in honour of the late Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi who died on Saturday.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made the declaration on Sunday when he led members of the State Executive Council on a condolence visit to the widow of the late Oluwatuyi and members of his family, in Akure, the state capital.

Aiyedatiwa said the late SSG lived a fulfilled life and made positive impacts on many people.

Governor Aiyedatiwa said late Oluwatuyi was a recurring decimal in the politics and governance of Ondo State, adding that the history of the state will not be complete without the mention of his impacts.

The SSG died on Saturday while receiving treatment in the hospital following a car accident which occurred in December 2024.
