Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu says the State Government is not in a hurry to return any public school to the original missionary owners, but where necessary, the consent of all stakeholders would be obtained before any action is taken in that regards.
Akeredolu who gave the clarification while addressing newsmen on Sunday said any missionary organisation that wishes to take over their schools in the State must show satisfactory commitment and proof of competence.
Akeredolu further noted that his administration will explore all available options to deliver on quality education in the State.

In the last months, there has been controversy over the return of primary and secondary schools back to their missionary owners, especially the Catholic Church, by the State Government .
