A three-month-old baby Gold Mamukuyomi reportedly stolen from her mother’s shop by an apprentice in Ondo town has been returned to the mother in good health condition.
The Police have however charged the suspect, Ranti Owolewa and the father of the baby Wasiu Jimoh Mamukuyomi to court for conspiracy.
Mamukuyomi is alleged to be a culprit in the crime after he conspired with his girlfriend who was his wife’s tailor apprentice in Elewuro street, Yaba in Ondo Town to steal his own baby.
The Police rescued the baby after four days in Ijapo Area of Akure, Ondo State Capital.
The mother of the baby who spoke at length with AIT in Yoruba language narrated how the baby was stolen and found.
She said her husband has confessed to having an affair with her apprentice but denied any involvement in the stealing of his own baby.

The two are expected to appear in court on January 15, 2021.
