The Police authority in federal capital territory says the robbery incident at Volcano Peak Court Hotel Gwarimpa, Abuja has left one person dead and several others with different degrees of injury.
The statement signed by the police public Relations officer FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, said the body the victim Bashir Dauda was discovered in the premises with bullet shots from the attackers.
The statement said the victim was quickly rushed to Federal Medical Center Jabi where doctors on duty confirmed him dead.
It further stated that the corpse was released on the request of the family to be buried according to Islamic rites.
The statement said Investigation is still ongoing in a bid to apprehend the culprits while further developments will be communicated in due course.
The Command therefore advises residents to always be conscious of their surroundings and report any suspicious activities to relevant authorities for prompt action.
