The paramount ruler of Yoruba land, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye has called on Nigerians to look more inwardly at African traditional medicines for solution to their health-related challenges including Coronavirus.
Speaking at the 2020 African Traditional Medicine Day in Lagos, Oba Enitan emphasized the need to invest more in African traditional medicines and for practitioners to come on a common platform.
The Ooni said the platform should work with relevant agencies to make the goal a successful one.
He also lauded Nigeria Government on its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He, however, advised African Traditional medicine practitioners to work on hygiene, dosage, prescription and measurement to make clinical processes easier.
The Ooni gave himself as an example of the potency of African traditional Medicine, saying that he has not been to the Hospital in the last five Years.
