The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has called on the federal government to quickly end the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by the National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, without further delay.
The Ooni also wants government to find lasting solutions to the incessant strikes,to eliminate the negative impact on the nation’s health sector.

Ooni Ogunwusi made the call at his palace in ile-ife, during the inauguration of the SouthWest Traditional Leaders’ Committee on Public Health Delivery, by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire.
The minister said the initiative is a partnership model which seeks collaboration between the federal government and traditional rulers, in eradicating some public health challenges in the country
The event which was attended by health experts and political leaders across the country was equally attended by notable traditional rulers in the southwest.
