Secretary-General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, Muhammadu Sanusi Barkindo who died on Tuesday night in Abuja has been laid to rest in his hometown, Yola, Adamawa State, North-East Nigeria.
Barkindo was buried according to Islamic rites at the Yola Cemetery, attended by thousands of mourners.

The Lamido Adamawa, Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Musa Bello were among those who paid their last respects.
