Edward Masha has been declared the new Chairman of Nigeria’s major opposition political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, following the recently concluded State congress.
The Chairman of the PDP Congress Panel in Kaduna State, Barrister Tanko Beji, announced Masha as the winner, having secured 2,123 votes.
His closest rival, Danjuma Sarki, garnered 458 votes, finishing as the runner-up.
In his acceptance speech, Masha expressed his gratitude to the Party delegates for entrusting him with the leadership.
He pledged to lead the PDP in Kaduna State to greater heights and to reposition it for future electoral success.
He promised to focus on uniting the Party and addressing internal disputes to ensure a stronger and more cohesive PDP in Kaduna.
