Orji Kalu urges Yahaya Bello to maintain strong ties with FG

Senate Chief whip and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has called on Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, to continually maintain a healthy relationship with the federal government as such will be to the advantage of the state.

Kalu who stated this when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Bello at the Government House, Lokoja, commended the governor for his efforts at uniting and securing the state.

Senator Kalu was in the state to attend an event and deemed it fit to pay a courtesy call on the governor as well as identify with him for his modest efforts at uniting the people of the state across religious and ethnic lines.

Kalu who commended Governor Bello for involving young people in his cabinet advised him to continually maintain a good relationship with the federal government.

Kogi State Governor, who was elated at the visit of the former Abia State Governor, told his guest the efforts his committee has made so far since he was appointed to mobilize youths, women, and people living with disabilities into the APC.

On the reactions trailing the visit of Femi Fani Kayode in some sections of the media, Yahaya Bello said it is time for Nigerians to practice politics without bitterness.

The two leaders pledged their commitments to give President Muhammadu Buhari the needed support to enable him to achieve his task of rebuilding Nigeria and securing the citizens irrespective of the socio-political, ethnic, and religious divide.
