Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has challenged the Federal Government to give account of the one billion dollars security funds jointly contributed by the 36 states of the federation to fight insurgency in the country.
The State Governor who made the call during a State executive and security council meeting approved funds for the take off of the State security outfit.
It’s the usual State security council meeting presided over by the Chairman of council Governor Samuel Ortom. He goes right ahead to give his opening remarks with key security issues in focus.
The State’s chief security officer wants the security operatives to pay closer attention to the safety of the people.

The security council meeting was closely followed by the State executive council meeting with the commissioner for information briefing newsmen on approvals made. Council equally approved the sum of 517 million naira for the full grade of the Tom atar Iordye access road to link Guma and Logo local government councils of the State.
