Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has promised to collaborate with relevant authorities to uncover the killers of 12 soldiers during a peace-keeping mission in the Konshisha Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor who joined the Nigerian Army to witness the burial of the slain soldiers at the military cemetery at Wurukum in Makurdi, the state capital, also condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari, Chief of Army Staff, and the entire leadership of the Armed Forces over the death of the soldiers, describing the incident as unfortunate.

He equally condemned the unwarranted attack and killing of the gallant soldiers, stressing that an attack on security agents is an attack on the entire country.
The Governor pledged his administration’s support to the bereaved families to enable them overcome the difficult moment.
He prayed God to grant the deceased soldiers eternal rest.
