The Benue government has concluded arrangements to formally inaugurate the State-owned security outfit code named Community Volunteer Guards. State Governor Samuel Ortom who confirmed this at the end of an expanded security council meeting equally announced the restriction of motorcycle movement across the 23 local councils of the State.
Members, as well as executives, converge for the State security council meeting presided over by Chairman of council Governor Samuel Ortom.
He unveils the meeting’s agenda to include discussions regarding the soon-to-be inaugurated community-owned security outfit which will support conventional security.
After a few hours of deliberation, the chief security officer highlights the decision reached. He demanded an apology from those speculating that he had embraced the proposed water resources bill. Ortom equally spoke on the garnished order of State Government accounts noting that arrangements were being made to release the said accounts.
