The former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, has apologized to the Enigies of the Benin Kingdom for the choice of Godwin Obaseki as successor.
Oshiomhole has apologised to the kings for working tirelessly to make the incumbent Governor of Edo State, Obaseki, his successor in 2016.
The former Governor of the state made the apology in Edo South senatorial district of the state ahead of the governorship election.

Oshiomhole said I am angry with the present Governor for failing to continue all the ongoing projects and failing to keep to all his campaign promises and instead, he is spending the state’s resources by signing MOUs.

“I apologise for his failure but we are here to correct that error with the 2020 governorship election by bringing a man who understands the workings of the state and a man who has a clear manifesto that will bring the dividend of democracy to Edo people and that man is pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
