A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo has struck out a criminal case against the National Chairman of the Action Alliance AA, Kenneth Udeze, citing legal irregularities in the prosecution.
The case originated from a petition filed by a former factional Chairman of the party, Rufai Omo-Aje, who had accused Kenneth Udeze of allegedly forging INEC documents in 2018 Governorship election in Osun State
Delivering her ruling in the suit joined by the party’s National Secretary and the Osun State Chairman of Action Alliance, Magistrate Adebola Odeleye ruled that the charge against the AA National Chairman lacked a legally recognized signature, thereby rendering the case invalid and incompetent in law.
Meanwhile, the defense counsel has welcomed the judgment, describing it as a victory for justice.
Kenneth in his reaction described the Nigerian judiciary as the last hope for the common man.
