Osun State Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke has saluted the courage of the founding fathers of Osun State, reiterating the commitment of his administration to building an economically viable state that future generations would be proud of.

The governor said this at a colloquium to mark the thirty-three years anniversary of the creation of Osun State held in Osogbo.

The 33rd-anniversary colloquium was a time of reflection and forward-thinking as leaders and intellectuals gathered to celebrate Osun State’s journey since its creation.

In his keynote address, Governor Ademola Adeleke highlighted the remarkable progress the state has made over the past three decades, emphasizing the resilience and tenacity of the people of Osun.

He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering economic growth, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.

The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University who delivered the lecture chronicled the growth Osun has made over the years.

While commending the giant strides of Governor Adeleke in revamping the state, he advised government to look into taxation to generate more for infrastructural development of the state.

Discussants were optimistic that the administration of Adeleke in Osun will bring the needed growth.

Awards were given to some founding fathers and others who had contributed towards the development of the state.
