Osun State commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode said the allegations of bias in the brewing crisis of the state chapter of the APC against his person by ‘The Osun Progressives’, a group believed to be loyal to former governor Rauf Aregbesola, is an attempt to malign his personality and bring the image of the police command into disrepute.

He described the allegations as untrue , warning that the command would not hesitate to institute legal action if the accusations continue .

The Osun Progressives , had petitioned the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali Baba Ahmed on grounds of bias by the State commissioner of police whom the group alleged is taking side in the crisis which has continued to rock the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State.

While addressing journalists on the subject matter, Olokede said “Osun State Police Command has not and will not be an instrument of any political party as the command remains independent of any political interest, promising to work in line with the prescribed rules and regulations guiding the Nigeria Police Force.

He maintained that Osun Police Command under his watch will not tolerate any act capable of throwing the state into anarchy.
