Members of the State Executive Council in osun state have dismissed rumours that Governor Ademola Adeleke is planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

They made this known during a press briefing held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Last week, members of the House of Representatives from Osun State passed a vote of confidence on Governor Adeleke, following the defection of Wole Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, to the APC.

Commissioners and Special Advisers under Governor Adeleke have also thrown their weight behind him, endorsing his second-term bid.

They expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership, noting that his remarkable achievements over the past two years have significantly transformed the state.

They maintained that Governor Adeleke has no intention of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saying the focus of the governor now is to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

They appealed to people of the state to continue to support the government of Ademola Adeleke
