The ongoing conflict in the Middle East is beginning to take a toll on Nigeria’s economy, with rising fuel prices affecting transportation, businesses and household spending.
The free train service by Osun State government to ease the financial burden of those coming home for the Eid-il-Fitr celebration from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states have arrived Osogbo,the Osun State capital on Thursday night.
These passengers who enjoyed a free train ride arrived safely at Osogbo with gratitude to the Osun State Government for their initiative to reduce the cost of travelling from Lagos state to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr sallah break with their loved ones.

Receiving the passengers, Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo said the initiative was out of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to the welfare of the people.
The free train service is expected to return people to Lagos after the Eid-il-Fitr celebration on Sunday 22nd March.
