A Pan socio-political group known as Dee Osun Monitors, has tasked the Nigerian Bar Association to follow up its earlier documented efforts and advice given to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, towards resolving the lingering leadership crisis rocking the local government councils in the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Osogbo,Spokesperson of the Group Jide Akinyooye, said there is need for the leadership of the NBA to follow up on its earlier efforts and advice to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), particularly in the area of misinterpretation of court judgements.

The group equally appealed to international communities and human rights advocates to rise up and demand justice for the people of the state over the withheld councils fund which they described as threat to democracy.
The group condemned those behind the councils’ withheld fund and bemoaned economic hardship at the grassroots and concluded by appealing to President Tinubu to review and reconsider current council administration in the state to allow democracy thrive in the interest of the people of the state.
