Osun State Police have arrested some protesters and a journalist, Sikiru Obarayese during protests to commemorate the first anniversary of the demonstration against police brutality in the state.
The policemen also dispersed the protesters around Oke Fia in Osogbo, the state capital.
The protesters were immediately taken to court, while the journalist was later released.

Some youths who gathered at a forum to appraise the 2020 Endsars protest in Osun state also condemned the state government’s approach to the victims of the protest in the state and called on the state government to implement the recommendations of the panel of inquiry and pay the required compensation to the affected person.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Ismail Omipidan said the state is awaiting directives from the federal government before acting on the panel report.
