Osun State Police Command has dismissed a policeman, identified as Sergeant Adamu Garba, for shooting to death a commercial motorcyclist, Saheed Olabomi in Oshogbo, the Osun State capital.
Saheed Olabomi was shot by a police officer in July, in the midst of a disagreement between the patrol team and a truck driver, which led to shootings, and the subsequent killing of Saheed Olabomi via a stray bullet.
A statement signed on Friday, by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, disclosed that Sergeant Adamu was dismissed from service having been found guilty after an orderly room trial.

The statement further re-emphasized the position of the state Commissioner for Police, Olawale Olokode, on the need for residents to partner with the police in checking all forms of infractions by some officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
