Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has taken a significant step towards boosting the state’s agricultural sector by unveiling a fleet of new tractors and a wide range of agricultural inputs.
At the event held at Agricultural Inputs Supply Unit in Ede Osun State, the governor promised to make Osun state the food basket of the nation.
The unveiling of the 31 newly purchased tractors with full implements marks a critical step in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity and food security in Osun State.
Aside the newly acquired tractors, Osun government also gave farmers 6,000 herbicides, 80,000 cashew seedlings, 8,000 cassava cuttings, vegetable seeds, and 500 bags of lime.
Governor Adeleke also revealed that his administration has committed N8 billion to acquire additional tractors and farm clearing equipment, alongside another N2 billion for farm input support.

The initiative, he emphasized, is aimed at empowering the state’s youth and ensuring that every Osun resident can afford to feed their families.
Farmers in attendance expressed gratitude to the state governor for his unwavering support.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, including farmers’ associations, traditional rulers, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture.
