Over 1,000 people struggle for free medical outreach in Kaduna

In light of Nigeria’s economic challenges, where rising inflation and the cost of living have made healthcare a luxury many cannot afford, over a thousand people flocked to the free medical outreach of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA in Kaduna State to access healthcare services.

This initiative provided a critical lifeline, offering essential health services to those who have been pushed to the margins. The scene was a stark reminder of the struggle many Nigerians face to access medical care in the current economic climate.

At the ECWA medical outreach, men, women, and children lined up, over a thousand in total, eager to receive medical attention they otherwise could not afford.

Prostate screenings, minor surgeries, dental check-ups, and eye care, all offered free of charge.

An elderly man came specifically for a prostate screening. He says that at his age, he needs regular check-ups, but the harsh economic realities have made healthcare a luxury.

The pain in his voice echoes the sentiment of many. The church says it is working with the government to make healthcare accessible to the public.

As more Nigerians find themselves priced out of essential services, initiatives such as the ECWA medical outreach become more than just charitable acts, they become vital lifelines for those in need.
