The Covid-19 death toll in Nigeria has jumped to 1,002 following 5 new fatalities in the last 24 hours.
The number of new Covid-19 infections is 332 recorded in 18 states with the total confirmed cases in Nigeria now 52,227.
The states with new Covid-19 cases are Lagos-130; Bauchi-36; FCT-25; Edo-17; Bayelsa, Ogun and Oyo-14 each; Anambra-13 and Kaduna-12.

Ondo State has 11 new cases; Abia-10; Osun-6; Plateau and Kwara-5 each; Kano-4; Ebonyi-3; Sokoto-2 and Borno-1.
There are 178 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of successfully treated cases to 38,945.
