Authorities of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State have confirmed a total of 10,789 students as beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Funds (NELFUND) scheme from the institution.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Wahab Egbewole disclosed this during a Press conference at the University’s main campus, where he also noted that the NELFUND programme initiated by the Federal Government to assist students in their educational pursuit is already touching many lives positively.
Professor Wahab Egbewole during the press briefing said verification for all beneficiaries of the loan scheme for 2024, 2025 is currently ongoing, expressing hope that the numbers could potentially increase in future.

The Vice-Chancellor said the University management has put all necessary measures in place to address likely challenges in the course of the current academic year.
