More than 250 patients have benefited from the free medical outreach programmme of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA in Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria.
State Chairman of the Association, Dr. Murtala Muhammad made this known in his address at the one-day free medical outreach in Gwadangwaji community of Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area. He said the outreach was aimed at providing free and quality healthcare services to the less privileged in the State.
Dr. Muhammad mentioned that the Association will embark on outreaches in other local governments that will include free surgeries. In the current exercise, the Association limited the surgeries for the subsequent outreaches.

In his speech on behalf of the benefiting communities, the District Head of Gwadangwaji, thanked the NMA for providing free healthcare services to the people in area, especially the less privileged and vulnerable people.

A beneficiary, Hafsa Murtala, who received free drugs, said the gesture has relieved her of financial burden in treating her ailments and expressed hope that the outreach would be extended and sustained.
