Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa urged Nigerians in Diaspora to put their money in businesses back home.

She stated that there were abundant opportunities that were available in Nigeria, which could earn them money without necessarily being present, as the NDIS is all about wealth creation by the Diasporans.

Dabiri-Erewa said NDIS objectives included:
– Establish a platform where Diaspora investors can interact with other
potential sponsors, partners, business promoters and the government.
– Business matchmaking opportunities.
– Showcase and explore the business and sponsorship opportunities in all the
36 States of Nigeria for Diaspora investment.

She maintained that since its inception, NDIS has been living up
to its expectations of attracting Diaspora investment into local businesses in
Nigeria, with bounteous success stories, in terms of business connections and
social impact.

The Ambassador of Republic of Ireland to Nigeria, Peter Ryan says the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS), is very important noting that the country’s diasporans are an important partner in any nation’s national initiatives.

The 6th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit kicked off in Abuja on Monday, November 13th with pitching sessions for upcoming and start-up businesses
