Thousands of young Nigerians have gathered in Lagos for the 2025 “Youths Pray for Nigeria” programme, an annual gathering that goes beyond prayers, inspiring a generation to believe in themselves and in the promise of a greater Nigeria.
From a small prayer gathering in 2022 to over five thousand voices in 2025, the “Youths Pray for Nigeria” programme has become a symbol of hope, unity, and awakening for Nigeria’s younger generation.
Convened by Festus Osagie and his wife, the annual event isn’t just about spirituality — it’s about stirring the hearts of young Nigerians to rise, build, and believe in their country once again. He reminded the crowd that no nation has ever risen without the energy and commitment of its youth and that personal development remains the foundation of national transformation.
Guest speakers at the event echoed the call for a generation free from drug abuse and social vices.
They challenged the youths to pursue education, excellence, embrace cultural understanding, and change the national narrative through innovation and good citizenship.
For many participants, it was an experience, a chance to connect, reflect and recommit to the dream of a better Nigeria.
As the chants of “God bless Nigeria” filled the air, the message clearly is that the future of Nigeria lies in the hands of its young people — bold, prayerful, and ready to make a difference.
