Members of the house of representatives committee on health institution have expressed satisfaction with the capital budgetary allocation, COVID 19 intervention funds provided for the 2020- 2021 projects embarked upon the management of the university of port Harcourt teaching hospital.
The chairman of the house of representatives committee on health institution Pascal obi made this known to journalists after an inspection tour of the projects at the institution in port Harcourt.
After an inspection tour to some of the projects, the chairman of the committee on health Pascal obi , said he was satisfied with what he saw on ground.
The chief medical director of UPTH highlighted some of the challenges confronting the hospital ranging from power, brain drain among others
The chairman assured the management of the institution that the federal government was working out modalities to address the issues raised.
Some of the projects inspected were COVID 19 centers, molecular lab , department of mental health among others.
