Despite a memo issued by the Imo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, directing civil servants to embark on strike action following the Imo state government directive that schools should resume today, some schools were open for academic activities.
In some schools visited by ait.live in the state capital, COVID-19 protocols were seen being observed while some are still cleaning up their classrooms.
However some schools had a number of challenges confronting them in respect of the COVID-19 protocols.
