The St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, South-West Nigeria which was attacked last year by gunmen has been re-opened for worshippers on Easter Sunday.
It will be recalled that a total of 41 persons were killed and several others injured in the attack that occurred on June 5, 2022. The church has been locked since the attack on worshippers.

Bishop of Ondo Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend Jude Arogundade, re-dedicated the auditorium for the use of the people.

He urged the faithful to be steadfast and pray for strength to deal with the issue of life and everything against the gospel of Christ.
Bishop Arogundade asked God for mercy and forgiveness for those who carried out the attack.
Security operatives were also sighted in different strategic locations within and outside the church environment.
