Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Basiru, to stay out of Rivers State politics.
Speaking during a “thank you” visit to Oyigbo Local Government Area. Wike declared Rivers State a “no-go area” for any politician opposed to his political interests.
The Minister’s remarks may not be unconnected to a recent statement by Basiru, who criticized the party’s National Vice Chairman, Victor Giadom, for describing the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, as “so-called governor” during Wike’s visit to Gokana last week.
Wike, also cautioned that outside interference in the state’s internal political affairs would not be treated with kid gloves.
