Pandemonium broke out in Akungba Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, South-West Nigeria on Thursday night as a student of the state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University located in the town was stabbed to death.
The student, Temitayo Ayodeji was said to have had a disagreement with some indigenes of the university’s host community before he was later stabbed to death in his hostel.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmi Odunlami-Omisanya confirmed the incident in a statement issued last night. She said Students took to the streets to protest, while the corpse has been taken to the morgue by the police .

Omisanya added that a house belonging to a mother of one of the suspected killers has been razed by the protesting students.
She however confirmed that peace has finally returned to the community.
