Residents of the Gamawa Local Government of Bauchi State are in fear over possible deadly flooding, as the water that flooded Gadiya and Kafiromi communities is finding its way into the main Gamawa town.
A source in the community, while confirming the development to ait.live said the water, which they believed was coming from the Katagum area in high volume, leading to the cutting off of the Kano to Maiduguri Federal Highway, is responsible for creating havoc in the area.

He further said that there is a need for urgent assistance from the authorities, to come to the area and provide solution, as the water at the moment is on the verge of collapsing the major road that blocks the water from entering Gamawa town.
It could be recalled that the incident of flooding in Bauchi State is more devastating in Shira and Gamawa Local Government Areas, where 18 people have been reported killed, and thousands of people displaced, as well as property destroyed
