The seven-member investigative panel constituted by the Chief Judge of Zamfara State on impeachment allegations against the embattled Deputy Governor, Mahdi Gusau has held its maiden sitting at the State High Court in Gusau, the state capital.
The Deputy Governor, Mahdi Gusau who is the respondent on the case did not make appearance nor sent his counsel to represent him.
The plaintiff which is the State House of Assembly has been presenting witnesses to testify before the probe panel and submit evidences.
As at the time of this report, six of the seven witnesses expected to be presented by the plaintiff have appeared before the panel.
