Parents in Jos, the Plateau State capital, have raised fresh alarm over the planned attacks on some boarding schools across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state by armed men.
Those who spoke to ait.live want the Government to act now to avoid being taken by surprise.
Attacks by armed gangs, usually referred to as bandits, has intensified across Nigeria in recent times, and even after President Muhammadu Buhari had said that the incident at Girls Science School Jangebe, Zanfara, will be the last, the country still witnessed More ot students abductions .
This development has continued to provoke outrage in Plateau State over the ineffectiveness of the security around the schools.

Most disturbing, is a write up making the round of the plans to attack some boarding schools and abduct students.
The parents say, attack on schools undermined the right to education and could lead to an increase of dropouts.
They say tension is mounting, not just in boarding schools, but across the state, over what could possibly happen in the coming days, and unless something is done urgently to guarantee the safety of schools in the state, the people could be taken unaware.
