Parents in Plateau state have called on the government to step up its level of preparedness so as to meet up with the NCDC guidelines for resumption of schools.
Ait.live crew went round the Jos metropolis capital of Plateau State and discovered that few public and private secondary were open and in conformity with the set rules.
Parents who spoke to ait.live commended the federal government for reopening schools to allow exiting classes write their final examinations, describing the move as a step in the right direction as education is the bedrock to any meaningful development.

For most public and private secondary schools visited there were provisions of hand sanitizers, water for washing hands, strict compliance to the use of facemask.
Meanwhile the plateau state education commissioner, Elizabeth kwapmut has assured that government will ensure full compliance of safety rules.
Kwapmut confirmed that some schools are still making efforts to put things in place which may delay resumption.
